Hello everyone and welcome back to the blues effect. Many in the community are awaiting the release of a lawless time and are brewing away with post rotation builds. The last couple of days a combo was brought to my attention that I would like to share with you all. Below you will see the combo breakdown along with a couple of decks that takes said combo to a competitive level.
I first came across of photo of a gameplay scenario by the community’s favorite professor numpty, john tatta. In the photo you see an early board of many units in play at the start of the third resource turn. This is where I first saw the following pieces of the combo:
The core of the combo consist of aspect cheating chairman papanoida with any of the new bases from a lawless time. Ideally on the second turn of the game. With chio fain in play the turn prior you are able to start an engine of an army of spy tokens. Now chio fain isnt the only option to trigger the chairmain. Any draw effect in the game triggers the card. If your opponent fails to stop the interaction your board can quickly snowball to what you see below:
Now you may ask what leader or deck best uses this combo to get what you see above. Below you will see three leaders/decks that takes this combo to the next level.
Kylo, enfys and jyn are leaders that not only excel at hosting the combo, but excel with winning without it as well. From early testing jyn and kylo have already proven to be strong contenders in the post rotation world. The inclusion of chairman papanoida can potentially keep them on the top. The enfys variant was brought to my attention by OKTERNAL in the ktod discord. I took their shell and made my own spin to it. With a combo as easy as this I am sure the community will make many different builds with different leaders.
To all my old school vs system readers, im sure you all remember the chair deck. Which was an infamous meme deck of that game due to its mystery. Prior to the the invention of social media, and video streaming sites many players communicated only through internet forums. On these forums of the gaming dark ages an overpowered rumor deck never showed its presence but was always threaten to appear. It became a meme that never ended. More than 20 years later the deck strategy finally became known.
Now star wars unlimited has its own infamous chair combo deck! Will it truly be a meme? Only time can tell.
