I can’t believe I’m so fast with this review. I’m definitely not the blogger, who posts first about new releases, but I guess stars alligned this time. Welcome…*drum roll* Review on new revamped for 2020 Dior Addict Stellar gloss!

New Dior Addict Stellar gloss is not Just a gloss, it’s Balm Lip Gloss Plumping Shine 24H Hydration. Sounds like a perfect product, right? Let’s look into details.
Shade. 785 Diorama, described as Rosy plum. Rosy plum or rosy mauve is a right description for this shade. Diorama contains a very fine silver shimmer and teeny-tiny multi-colour shimmer, which adds to shine and dimension. I was lucky to try completely new tester in store and I instantly liked the colour. It looked brightening and defining. I think, this shade might become THE Shade of this line as well as deep nude (640) and rosy taupe (630), but may be I will be wrong, we will see;). Diorama will definitely suit sooo many people., that I’m sure about.

Applicator. I’m glad to see that Dior dropped their brush applicator, which they used in glosses previously (except Maximizer). Applicator in new Stellar Gloss is perfect! It’s a bit bigger than your typical applicator but not as huge as Fenty. It’s in a paddle shape and have very soft texture. It picks just the right amount of product, despite it being a bit bigger.

Texture. Comfy, cushiony, balmy. Those words come to mind when I wear this gloss. It’s indeed very balmy gloss. It’s not sticky, not heavy and not overly dense. It’s dense enough to give you longevity and comfort, but not too dense to give you discomfort. In my collection, this gloss joined The Best Glosses Club, which is a very exclusive club. Members are Buxom Lip Polish, Dior Maximizer and discontinued Shiseido Lip Lacquer. Only Shiseido didn’t have cooling or tingling sensation. And now Dior! It’s a good news as cooling/tingling sensation is not for everyone. Small update: Fenty was pushed out of this club some time ago.
Scent. Light vanilla. Not overpowering or annoying.

Is it balm like gloss? It is. Your lips feel like they are under comfy light blanket. During several days wear this gloss never faded completely on its own or with drinks and small snacks. But when I did wipe it with tissue in the evening, my lips were soft and nice.

Longevity. Great! It doesn’t get absorbed leaving you with bare lips. NO! Shine might wear down with wear, but even after dessert and 300ml cup of coffee, my lips were uniformly covered with balmy feeling and a bit of shimmer. I was afraid that this gloss will leave you with silver particles all over your face or at least, with dry lips in silver shimmer, but not..shimmer stays sticked to the balmy film of gloss and it still looks nice even after snacks.

Now moving onto comparison with the closest shade I have in my collection, Buxom Lip Polish in Dolly.

Buxom gives a cooling sensation, Dior doesn’t. Dior has more mauvie shade than Buxom. Buxom has different type of shine, very smoothing glass like. Buxom contains tiny golden shimmer, Dior – silver shimmer. I find shimmer in Dior is more visible on lips than in Buxom, may be due to size or difference in glossiness.

Conclusion. GREAT! Nothing to complain. It looks beautiful and it wears good, making my lips feel very comfortable. Shade is gorgeous!
