One Piece: All Seraphim Units, Ranked

The Seraphim have swiftly made a name for themselves in One Piece’s ongoing Egghead Arc. S-Hawk, S-Bear, S-Snake, and S-Shark have caused trouble and engaged in thrilling fights against the Straw Hat Pirates throughout the storyline and, as manga readers know, they’re only going to become more important as it progresses. While the other three Seraphim currently remain enigmas, with viewers not even knowing their names, they’re bound to come to blows with Monkey D. Luffy and his friends eventually.

Based on the former Seven Warlords of the Sea, the Seraphim are some of the strongest fighters ever created by the World Government. While they may only be child versions of their counterparts, they compensate for this with the Lunarian DNA inside them. All able to replicate Devil Fruit powers as well, some of these clones are even stronger than the Warlords they were cloned from.

7 Gecko Moria’s Seraphim Is Likely as Underwhelming as His Inspiration

Gecko Moria’s Seraphim Needs to Steal Many Shadows in Order to Become a Real Threat

The Seraphim cloned from Gecko Moria has barely gotten any screentime, but it’s easy to guess that he’s the weakest of his kind. While Moria may have once been a rival to Kaido, in the modern day, he’s far and away the weakest of the original Warlords. The only reason Gecko Moria’s Seraphim posed as much of a challenge to Luffy as he did during the Thriller Bark Arc is because of all the power he’d amassed from stolen shadows, something which his Seraphim counterpart doesn’t have access to.

All the Seraphim possess less Haki than the former Warlords they were cloned from, but it’s possible Moria’s lacks any, given how he himself lost his Haki as his willpower diminished. He’s by no means weak, though, as he still possesses Lunarian strength, and the Green Blood inside him that gives him the power of the Shadow-Shadow Fruit, meaning he can manipulate shadows and give them life. Still, had he been among the Seraphim to appear on Egghead, the Straw Hats likely would have dispatched him with ease.

6 S-Shark Is Demonstrably Stronger Than Jinbe

S-Shark Overpowers Sanji During Their Fight

S-Shark is the clone of the most recent addition to the Straw Hat Pirates, Jinbe. Throughout the Egghead Arc, S-Shark has proven to be among the Seraphim stronger than the Warlords they were cloned from. While Sanji completely surpassed Jinbe during the Wano Country Saga, he’s more recently found himself being embarrassingly tossed around by S-Shark.

Notably, S-Shark is far stronger in the anime than in the manga, where he was incapable of hurting Sanji at all. In both versions of One Piece, S-Shark can utilize Fish-Man Karate, just like Jinbe. Unlike Jinbe, S-Shark possesses the power of Señor Pink’s Swim-Swim Fruit, which allows him to swim through solid surfaces.

5 Doflamingo’s Seraphim Has Access to 1 of the Most Over-Powered Paramecia Fruits

Gear Fourth Wasn’t Enough for Luffy to Defeat the Real Doflamingo On His Own

Donquixote Doflamingo was the first true challenge Luffy ever faced in the New World. Doflamingo pushed Luffy more than anyone had since his fight against Magellan and, even with the newly acquired power of Gear Fourth, Luffy would have lost to him without the help of Trafalgar Law and the people of Dressrosa. Beyond being an immensely strong Haki user, Doflamingo’s greatest advantage in battle is his String-String Fruit abilities, which are easily some of the most versatile in the entire series.

Doflamingo’s Seraphim may not be his equal or superior, but there’s no chance he’s the weakest of his kind. While he lacks the former Warlord’s experience and skill, his strings are still highly deadly and capable of controlling other people like puppets, and he seems to share Doffy’s cruel ferocity. It’ll be interesting to see exactly what he’s capable of when he eventually crosses paths with the Straw Hats.

4 Crocodile’s Seraphim Should Be Able to Stand Up to the Strongest Members of the Cross Guild

The Real Crocodile Is Leagues Stronger Now Than When He First Fought Luffy

While Sir Crocodile may have been humiliated by Luffy early on in One Piece, he’s grown far more powerful since then. Possessing the power of the Sand-Sand Fruit, which grants him total control over sand, Crocodile currently stands as the second-strongest member of a Yonko crew, the Cross Guild, and holds the respect of his far stronger partner, Dracule Mihawk. Even if there’s no explanation as to how, it’s clear viewers are now meant to see him as a potential threat to the Straw Hat Pirates.

Crocodile’s Seraphim is unique in that he likely won’t have the same Devil Fruit powers as his Warlord counterpart. The Green Blood which runs through the Seraphim is only capable of replicating the abilities granted by Paramecia-type fruits, and the Sand-Sand Fruit is a Logia-type. Thus, Crocodile’s Seraphim could possess nearly any Paramecia-type Devil Fruit to have ever appeared in One Piece.

3 S-Hawk Was Created to Replace a Yonko-Level Warlord

S-Hawk Is Nearly as Strong as the World’s Greatest Swordsman

Without a doubt, S-Hawk was cloned from the strongest Warlord, Dracule Mihawk. Mihawk is the world’s greatest swordsman, the most powerful member of the Cross Guild, and a peer and rival of Shanks. He’s potentially one of the most fearsome characters in the entire series, despite relying entirely on Haki, and not having Devil Fruit powers.

By virtue of his Haki not having bloomed, S-Hawk is infinitely weaker than Mihawk. This is why Roronoa Zoro, who is still far weaker than Mihawk, is able to defeat S-Hawk without too much difficulty. At the same time, prior to his arrival on Egghead, S-Hawk was able to give Blackbeard, a Yonko, a run for his money. S-Hawk also does actually have a Devil Fruit power to compensate for his relatively weak Haki, however, with him possessing the abilities granted by Daz Bonez’s Dice-Dice Fruit. This means that, on top of the main sword he welds, S-Hawk can generate blades from any part of his body.

2 S-Bear Possesses All the Raw Strength of Bartholomew Kuma & More

S-Bear Has the Power to Hold His Own Against Yonko-Level Opponents

S-Bear is the clone of Bartholomew Kuma, and while anime-only fans have yet to witness the full extent of the former Warlord’s strength, his child counterpart has already more than made his power apparent. Possessing the power of the Paw-Paw Fruit, S-Bear is capable of achieving mass destruction on a grand scale, and of transporting other people anywhere in the world. It’s likely because of this that S-Bear is seemingly identified by Luffy and Rob Lucci as the overall greatest threat among the Seraphim.

It’s tradition in One Piece that Luffy will always fight the strongest available opponent, while Zoro will fight the second-strongest. Sure enough, during the Egghead Arc, Luffy chooses to tackle S-Bear, alongside Lucci, while leaving S-Hawk to Zoro and Kaku. S-Bear wasn’t nearly strong enough to stand up to his opponents, but he was still viewed as the bigger threat in that moment. For fans who have read ahead in the manga, it’s easy to understand why they felt the way they did.

1 S-Snake Can Defeat Nearly Anyone With a Single Attack

The Real Boa Hancock Has Proven to Be Far Stronger Than Some Fans Initially Believed

S-Snake is the clone of the Pirate Empress, Boa Hancock, and the strongest member of the Seraphim. Hancock herself is among the stronger members of the former Warlords. Hancock wields all three types of Haki, is able to turn nearly anyone to stone, and possesses a bounty of 1,659,000,000 Berry. Still, she isn’t quite on par with Mihawk or Kuma. S-Snake isn’t even as powerful as Hancock, but her lack of bloomed Haki doesn’t hold her back nearly as much as it does S-Hawk and S-Bear.

S-Snake wields a modified version of the powers granted by the Love-Love Fruit. While Hancock can turn anyone who finds her attractive to stone, S-Snake can petrify anyone who finds her cute. During the Egghead Arc, S-Snake uses this power to devastating effect, and is the only Seraphim to defeat one of Dr. Vegapunk’s Satellites, and she’s never actually beaten in a fight. The Straw Hats are only able to stop her because she shares Hancock’s greatest weakness: a complete and utter infatuation with Luffy. Were this not the case, she could have potentially brought his adventure to an early end.
