Not all these series are reverse harems, but they do contain a vast amount of good looking male characters!
Recently I have gotten myself addicted to the mobile game Mystic Messenger and if the whole anime nosebleed thing were real, I would have lost most of the blood in my body by now. This game’s male characters may be weird, but they are good looking. Although, in reality, we are all a bit strange. Anyway, playing Mystic Messenger has only added to the list a previously posted about fictional men who have ruined real life men for me. I WANT THEM ALL!

This game has also reminded me of all those anime series that caused my metaphoric nosebleeds due to the appealing male characters that occupied my thoughts. I have compiled a list of the anime with an overwhelming cast of deliciously sexy male characters.
Why?
Why not? 😉
There are going to be a lot of obvious series mentioned. If you have read my previous anime related posts, you know that I have an obsession with certain series that are dominated by male characters. And, please, if I forget to mention any, leave the series’ title in the comments. I’m always looking for more characters to love!
Yuri!!! On Ice – Let’s get the obvious over with. All the important characters in Yuri!!! On Ice are male and they are all so beautiful! When this show was airing back in the fall I had to keep cold drinks or ice nearby because my face was very warm by the end of each episode. Victor Nikiforov was my obsession for months! Yuri and Yurio are adorable no matter what they do! Even my least favourite men from this series were gorgeous and I felt so conflicted. In real life, though, I would pick a good personality over a handsome face. Just everything about Yuri!!! On Ice was overwhelming, but the character designs and their mannerisms were the icing on the cake.

Dance with Devils – Not only are these devilish men sexy beyond belief, they sing, too! I found the characters in this show kind of bland, but they flourished while singing. They are very good looking, though. Lindo, Rem, and Urie’s looks are my favourite, but everyone, even the old men and the creepiest of characters, are nice to look at. Their individual sexiness rises when they sing, though. Admit it. If you have watched Dance with Devils, then your jaw must have dropped in awe every time Rem or Lindo sang.
The Story of Saiunkoku – Young men in their twenties and late teens walking around in ancient Chinese clothing. Mmm~! There are a lot of male characters in this series and I honestly cannot remember all their names, but I can remember their faces. Poor Shuurei has so many admirers and young, handsome men surrounding her, but she doesn’t want their attention. She is admired by the young king of Saiunkoku, a young lord from a distant province, her childhood friend who is a deadly warrior, and almost becomes engaged to an attractive, but haughty government official. And that is just Shuurei’s love interests. There are the Ran brothers, Shuei and Ryuren, Egetsu, Ensei, the rest of the Sa clan, that bespectacled merchant guy, and so many more. If you haven’t watched The Story of Saiunkoku and plan to, I recommend keeping a bucket nearby to hold your drool.
Free! Iwatobi Swim Club/Eternal Summer – Sports anime never fails to provide a cast of deliciously sexy men. The five main characters and their friends/acquaintances/rivals are attractive to begin with, but once they strip off their shirts and hop in the pool… oh my~! Face it; we all become Gou when the male cast swims and their competitive natures come out. As much as I love the original characters, I have to admit that the psychotic abridged versions are more appealing, despite them all pretty much being gay. I love Thugisa, but then again, who doesn’t?
Black Butler – Of course Sebastian steals the show, but there are still plenty of handsome men to ogle and fawn over in Black Butler. Ciel Phantomhive is an adorable little guy, but I’m talking more about the organization of sexy grim reapers, a certain circus ringleader, and our favourite chef who can’t cook a darn thing without setting fire to the Phantomhive kitchen. But like I said before, Sebastian outshines them all!

Yona of the Dawn – This was one series I had to take breaks from because I couldn’t handle the appeal of Yona’s entourage. She has four handsome dragon warriors, a beautiful boy genius, and her drop-dead gorgeous childhood friend/bodyguard! Like, every male character in this series is good-looking, including the old men. Have you taken a long, hard look at Mun-deok? *Swoons* Even Ik-su, when you catch those rare glimpses of his beautifully coloured eyes, looks amazing. I’ll even admit that Su-won, despite my intense hatred of him, is a cutie pie and has his hot moments. The character designers went above and beyond the call of duty! Good job!
The Royal Tutor – This series began airing in early April, so it is still going on. After seeing the trailer months ago, I was looking forward to this anime the most for the spring season. Why? The handsome princes and their adorable royal tutor! Each prince of the Glanzreich royal family has their own unique and handsome appeal. Prince Kai and Prince Bruno have a manly, mature, sophisticated appearance, but Kai’s is rougher than Bruno’s because Bruno is preppy and well-groomed. Kai looks like a strong, silent tough guy with a piercing gaze. The youngest princes, Leonhard and Licht, have feminine appearances. I don’t care much for Licht’s appearance, but he looks cute in his waiter get-up. Leonhard is so cute with his big blue eyes and interesting hairstyle. And Heine! I just want to pinch his cheeks! We also have the king of Glanzreich. We know where his sons got their good looks from!
Uta no Prince-sama – I haven’t actually watched this series, but I plan to sometime in the future. I will also admit that I just love staring at images of the male characters online. I really want my own Tokiya Ichinose~! Heck, I want one of each of them! Male idols are the best!
Kiss Him, Not Me – It’s not every girl’s dream to be pursued by four hot guys at once, but Kae Serinuma learns to put up with it. After losing a considerable amount of weight, Kae is approached by two of the handsomest boys from her class, one underclassman who has a delicate appearance, and her eternally positive upperclassman from the school’s history club. I don’t think I could complain if four guys followed me around and put up with my fangirling, but it all comes down to their true intentions. Mutsumi-senpai, is the best boy, though. He’s tall, handsome, and a wonderful encourager. Too bad Mutsumi’s just as good-looking older brother doesn’t share his charming personality.

Hetalia – Who hasn’t shrieked or sighed over the hilarious men of Hetalia? They go from being sexy beasts that you wish would hold you in their manly arms to being little darlings you want wrap your arms around and squeeze! The main eight (Italy, Germany, Japan, America, England, France, Russia, and China) are great when it comes to appearances, obviously, but since they are living stereotypes, their personalities are… questionable. My favourite is Canada, obviously. I have to love my fellow Canuck and he is so cute! There are too many male characters in this series and it is so hard to spread the love I have for them all.
The Heroic Legend of Arslan – The titular character may still be a boy just barely in his teens, but he still has a unique appearance that is pleasing to the eye. Although, I hate how strands of hair fall in Arslan’s eyes and block his pretty face. Then we have his entourage of warriors and strategists. Daryun, Narsus, Gieve, and Jaswant, Arslan’s closest male confidantes, are beautiful! I’d feel safe having them around and would never complain. There’s Elam, too, but he is very young, so that makes me feel awkward. There are a lot of men in this series, as well, but I cannot remember all their names and some of them look like the designer drew their faces without much thought. Lord Silvermask is strikingly handsome, even with his facial injuries.

Yumeiro Patissiere – Alright, they are middle school boys in the first season, but Ichigo’s teammates are so handsome! Okay, I know it is still creepy when they become high school students, but I blame the creator of this series for her handsome boys. I can freely drool over Henri Lucas, though, because he is a grown man. A fully grown, beautiful frenchman who can make desserts worthy of feeding all the important Greek gods. I wasn’t a fan of Johnny, though. He has a nice face, but he doesn’t compare to Henri or Kashino. I think his crusty-looking outfit takes away from his charm.
Romeo x Juliet – Juliet has quite a following of men both young and old devoted to her. Each of her main men are real lookers, except for Antonio, of course, because he is still a child. I couldn’t help sighing whenever Francisco, Tybalt, or Curio made an appearance on screen, especially during the action scenes where they showed just how deadly they are. Romeo is cute, but he just doesn’t compare to the other men. And we cannot forget the handsome doctor Lancelot and his gentle bespectacled face.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic – It’s hard to remain focused when the mostly male cast’s individual appearances just keep advancing in handsomeness. I thought Ali Baba and Aladdin were cute in their respective ways, but after that time skip Ali Baba seemed so much more mature and sure of his abilities. Confidence is sexy! Sinbad caught my eye immediately, but that glorious scene where he is butt naked caused a metaphoric nose bleed. I love Hakuryuu’s unique appearance because it reminds me of Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender and he is such a sweetie! We can’t leave out the male members of the Eight Generals, either. Ja’far, Masrur, Hinahoho, Sharrkan, Mystras, Spartos, and… Drakon. Maybe not Drakon…. It all depends on what you’re into, I guess. I don’t particularly care for scaly, buff dragon men, but some people might.

Ouran High School Host Club – Oh yeah! I saved the best for last! Most male students at the prestigious Ouran Academy pale in comparison to the attractive members of the Host Club, excluding a certain occult fan who is quite handsome without his wig and cloak. Tamaki was one of my first anime loves, but that wasn’t solely because of his kind face and silky blond hair. The gentlemanly air surrounding the hosts is overwhelming and the hospitality they show their customers only gives us real life ladies expectations for our real life guys. Each member is there to appeal to a certain customer type, but I think all of them cover my type… except Honey, though. If I haven’t made it clear already, I don’t like children or childlike men. That goes for both appearance and maturity. Who wouldn’t want to be smooth-talked by Tamaki, Kyoya, Mori, or the twins? Right?
Which anime series packed with attractive men makes you feel overwhelmed? I know that I have missed plenty of series, so enlighten me, please. I purposely didn’t add certain shounen series, like Naruto or Fairy Tail because they contain too many characters to remember. I think its all those filler episodes that have anime-only characters. Anyway, tell me which series give you nosebleeds. I will probably want to watch those series, too… for the plot. Yeaaaah… the plot.
Gotta love reverse harems!
